…because Photography is my Creativity

I stumbled across this high speed photography video that someone posted on Youtube. I found it quite interesting. I also saw in the person’s comments that he actually fired the flashes manually to capture these balloons popping. So he did not have to use a sound trigger device to capture these moments. There is hope for those of us who don’t particularly want to create a sound triggering device for our high speed photos. Yay!

The video is less than 2 minutes long, and it is a time lapse of what the photographer did. So you are able to see all of the equipment he uses, in addition to the photos he took. Definitely check it out.

Digital photography is one of my favorite ways to express myself. It’s fun, creative, and it allows me to hold on even longer to memories by stopping a moment in time leaving the empression as a photograph.

I use digital photography because it allows me to use my imagination more if I ever wanted to transform a certain picture into something from a fantasy book. Although I rarely do that because I like to keep my photos as authentic as possible. It’s still fun to tinker with my photos, even if I don’t save them that way.

Another reason why I use digital photography is because I want to share my work with the world. I’m a beginner photographer, so I’m not quite established in knowing everything there is to know about photography. Nowadays though, it’s pretty easy to share things with the world if you have a computer and internet access. So that’s what I do, I share my photographs and ideas on the World Wide Web, as you can see. However, if I used a film camera, I would have to scan my photograph to allow me to put it up on a website. Scanning also doesn’t turn out too well because the photo will usually turn out fuzzy or the colors may be different. Now I’m not arguing that digital photography is better than regular film photography, by all means I love them both and they each have different advantages depending on what you use them for. I personally need to use digital photography. I still use film cameras every once in a while, and someday soon I would love to buy a film SLR (film SLR’s are cheaper than digital SLR’s). For now, though, I like using digital.
